Yesterday and today I graded approximately 80 sets of the same homework on sentence fragments. Predictably, most students made the same mistake, thinking "however" is a conjunction, despite my specific instruction in class that it was not.
About the 60th time you write out an explanation of why the sentence "However, men often share this anxiety." is NOT a sentence fragment, you begin to realize that you had depths of hate in you that were totally untapped before. I'm practically a hate fountain!
