As we enter exam season, I give you my students revised versions of famous short story plots. For the giggles.
(But first, being a feminist is apparently the opposite of being an anti-segregationist. Just in case you have to choose...)
"Story of an Hour" - Mrs. Mallard is an old woman. She goes crazy.
"A&P" - Sammy quits because he will not be able to support himself on a cashier's salary.
"A Rose for Emily" - Tobe attends Emily's funeral.
And finally, the crowning glory:
"Cask of Amontillado" - Montressor is a nobleman, and kills Fortunado, who is a commoner, for touching Montressor, which is illegal because people of a lower rank were not allowed to touch those of a higher rank.
